One Denison St, North Sydney
Controlmation supplied emergency power Master control panels, generator control panels, diesel fuel system control panels, load management control panels and DC power supplies for this high profile major construction project in North Sydney. Separate emergency power control systems were provided for a Base Building generator system and Tenant generator system (Nine Entertainment Corporation).
2 x 2500kVA Base Building and 2 x 1500kVA Tenant diesel generators are Mitsubishi, fitted with Deep Sea 8610 control panels, as supplied and installed by our head contractor.
The control systems feature a total of twelve Schneider M340 PLC’s with six Schneider 12.1”HMI touch screen panels, with all control system design and software engineering by Controlmation.
The control systems integrate with Woodward DTSC-200 controllers, fitted to the main switchboards, to provide synchronised closed transition transfer of the main switchboards between normal mains and emergency generator supply.

Emergency power load management systems were provided for separate Base Building and Tenant emergency generator systems. The load management control systems manage extensive load shedding and sequential transfer and load staging of electrical circuits onto the generator supplies.
The control systems feature Schneider M340 series PLC’s, with Master PLC’s and several remote satellite PLC’s installed throughout the building, performing load management functions on various floor levels. Three Schneider 12.1”operator touch screen panels were installed as the primary operator interface to view system operating status and alarms. Each LMS interfaces with a Cummins diesel generator, fitted with Cummins Power Command (PCC3.3) controller. Diesel fuel management control systems and maintained DC controls power supplies were also provided for the project.
447 Collins St, Melbourne
Two emergency power load management systems were provided to support the essential standby power requirements for the Commercial operations of the building and a separate 5 star Hotel.
The control systems feature Schneider M580 series Hot Standby PLC’s (Commercial) and M340 PLC (Hotel), with Schneider 15”operator touch screen panels installed as the primary operator interfaces to view system operating status and alarms.
Diesel fuel management control systems were also provided for the project.
Sydney Adventist Hospital, Wahroonga, Sydney
New generator paralleling control panels were designed and manufactured to operate two existing Cummins diesel generators that provide emergency power to the Hospital. Woodward EasYgen 3200-XT generator synchronizing controllers were installed as the primary controllers. The Cummins generators are configured for synchronized parallel load sharing operation by way of the EasYgen 3200-XT generator controllers. The engine speed controller on each engine was upgraded to a Woodward PISC. A maintained DC controls power supply was also provided for the project.

Commonwealth Bank Square, Haymarket, Sydney
A new emergency generator system Master control panel was designed and manufactured to operate an existing 1100kVA F.G Wilson diesel generator, to provide emergency power to the tenant’s floors. A Woodward EasYgen 3200-XT generator controller was installed to operate the diesel generator. A Schneider M340 PLC and Schneider 12.1”HMI touch screen panel were installed as the primary controller and operator interface for generator operation and building load management. The control system interfaced with a number of ABB and ASCO power transfer switches to manage sequential transfer of essential tenant building loads to emergency generator supply.
